![]() ![]() ![]() I have requested an explanation, to no avail. I would now have to pay out of pocket to get an eye exam because they fraudulently billed my vision insurance. No one responds to my letters, nor phone calls. NO Routine ophthalmological examination including refraction was ever done! I called today and asked to pick up my prescription and was told there is not one in my file (Although they have billed and been paid for those services). HEC billed and was paid by my health insurance company (citing medical care), they re-billed my vision insurance company (citing Routine ophthalmological examination including refraction) and billed me (citing balance due for limited exam). When leaving the office, I stopped to look at eyeglasses and was told if I wanted new glasses, I needed a third appointment so I could get an examination. ![]() On 2/10/23 I returned, my eyes were dilated, eye doctor ******************************* looked into my eyes with flashlight and told me everything as good. HEC billed my vision insurance for the complete Routine ophthalmological examination including refraction and they were paid. No Routine ophthalmological examination including refraction was done. The visit included only the eye doctor ********************** looking at my eyes with a flashlight and telling me I had dry eyes, she gave me a sample wipe, a coupon and told me to come back in 2 months. Horizon Eye Care billed my vision insurance for a Routine ophthalmological examination including refraction, for a visit on 12/30/22. ![]()
